MINOR AND MAJOR TRYOUT/EVALUATION DATES
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE:
11YR OLDS TRYING OUT FOR A MAJOR TEAM THAT CAN PLEASE COME AT 12:00
Tball and Rookie DO NOT tryout.
When: Saturday, February 13th, 2010
Where: Western Albemarle High School Gym-At the end of the school
Time: 12:00 Age 12 All Major Divisions
1:00 Age 11 and under Trying out for Major Division COME AT 12:00 if you can.
2:30 Age 10 Trying out for Minor Division
4:00 Age 9 and under Trying out for Minor Division
***All ages are based on age as of April 30 of season year***
ALL PLAYERS MUST ATTEND TRYOUTS ON THE DATES ABOVE. IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH PARITY AMONG THE TEAMS, ALL PLAYERS WILL BE EVALUATED. RETURNING PLAYERS WILL BE EVALUATED AND RETURNED TO THEIR PREVIOUS TEAM.
IF YOU ARE LEAGUE AGE 9 or YOUNGER AND TRYING OUT FOR MINOR DIVISION, YOU MUST TRYOUT. League age is the age of your child as of April 30th.
Arrive at least a half hour early in order to loosen up for tryouts.
Bring bat and glove. Catcher’s Gear will be provided.
WEAR TENNIS SHOES
Draft date will be Sunday, February 14th. A head coach will contact you after this date to let you know what team you will play for.
All Cal Ripken (Crozet Park) divisions will start practice on MARCH 8th.
All Cal Ripken (Crozet Park) divisions will start games on MARCH 20th with an Opening Ceremony announcing players and games played all day!!
HIT-A-THON AND PICTURE DAY WILL BE IN APRIL 17TH

For more than 30 years, Peachtree Baseball League of Albemarle, Inc. has been affiliated with Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth baseball and has worked to mold the youths of Western Albemarle County Virginia by teaching leadership, sportsmanship, cooperation, hard work and a sense of fair play.
Peachtree Baseball offers competitive, well-organized divisions for those 4-15 years of age. Games for the Cal Ripken Division (ages 4-12) are played at Claudius Crozet Park in Crozet, Virginia. Games for the Babe Ruth Division (ages 13-15) are played at Greenwood Community Center in Greenwood,Va
Eligible Players
All those attending (or eligible to attend) Meriwether Lewis, Murray, Brownsville, Crozet, Red Hill, Nelson, Henley or any other school in the Western Albemarle High School district are eligible for Peachtree Baseball.
